Bacchusai

Privacy Policy

Effective 29 September 2026

Bacchusai builds WhatsApp booking and enquiry automations for small businesses. When you message a business that uses one of our systems, some of your personal information passes through services we set up and manage. This policy explains what that information is, why we use it, and the choices you have. We follow South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Who we are

Bacchusai is the responsible party for the processing described here, except where a business we work for decides how your information is used. In that case, that business is the responsible party and we process your information on its behalf. You can reach us at kevinbacchus13@gmail.com.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send. We don't collect payment card details through WhatsApp.

How we use it

We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.

Automated replies

Replies may be generated automatically, including with artificial intelligence. Any prices given are estimates only. The business confirms final prices, and you can ask to speak to a person at any time.

Who we share it with

Your information is shared with the business you contacted, and with the service providers that make the system work:

These providers may store information outside South Africa. We only use providers with appropriate safeguards in place, as POPIA requires for cross-border transfers.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and booking records only as long as the business needs them to provide its service and meet its legal obligations, and for no longer than 12 months after your last message unless the business has a legal reason to keep them longer.

Security

We use access controls and the security features of our service providers to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to prevent loss, misuse or unauthorised access.

Your rights

Under POPIA, you can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can also object to how it's used. To opt out of automated messages, reply STOP at any time. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.

Deleting your data

To have your information deleted, email kevinbacchus13@gmail.com with the phone number you messaged from and the name of the business you contacted. We'll delete your records from our systems within 30 days and confirm by email. Messages stored in your own WhatsApp app stay on your phone until you delete them.

Children

Our services are meant for adults arranging services for their home or business. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services change. The effective date at the top shows when it was last updated.
